2. Hosting & server logs

The website runs on a virtual server (VPS) provided as infrastructure by netcup GmbH, Daimlerstraße 25, 76185 Karlsruhe. On each request the web server records access data (server logs): time of access, the file/URL requested, HTTP status, volume of data transferred, the referring page (referrer) as well as browser and operating system (user agent).

The IP address is stored only in truncated (anonymised) form. The last segment is removed (e.g. 203.0.113.0), so that no conclusions about an individual person are possible. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (secure, stable operation and threat prevention). A data processing agreement (Auftragsverarbeitung) pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR has been concluded with netcup GmbH.

3. Cookies

This website sets no cookies. Settings stored locally by your browser (e.g. the selected year) remain solely on your device and are not transmitted.

4. Analytics with Umami

For anonymous analytics, Umami is used, a privacy-friendly analytics software run on our own infrastructure (analytics.ck71.com); no data is transmitted to third parties (such as Google).

Umami works without cookies and stores nothing on your device. Aggregated, non-personal usage data is collected: pages visited, the referring page (referrer), approximate origin (country), browser, operating system, device type and screen size. The IP address is not stored, but only briefly computed into an anonymous identifier that changes daily. Re-identifying individual people, or tracking them across several days, is therefore not possible.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in anonymous analytics). Since Umami is cookie-free and neither stores nor reads information on the device, the prevailing view is that no consent under § 25 TDDDG is required. A "Do Not Track" signal activated in the browser is respected.

5. Fonts

The font used (Syne) is self-hosted and loaded directly from our own server. There is no connection to third-party servers (such as Google Fonts); no personal data is transmitted to third parties in the process.

6. Contacting us

If you contact us by email, your details are processed to handle the enquiry (Art. 6 (1) (f) or (b) GDPR) and deleted once it has been dealt with conclusively, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

7. Encryption

The website is delivered exclusively over an encrypted HTTPS connection (TLS).

8. Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21 GDPR). To exercise these, please use the contact address given above.

9. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
